The Lancers didn't put forth the type of effort we have grown accustomed to vs a good Concord team at Holman Stadium yesterday. They got down early 3-0 in the first inning and didn't recover. Michael Crowley got the start and turned in a strong overall performance outside of the first inning, as he didn't allow another Concord run while keeping total hits to 4.

At the plate Jayden Hamilton kept up his strong play going 2-3 on the day! Defensively the boys made most of the plays, but we just didn't get the bats going. We will rebound and get back at it this week for 3 games!

Kevin Rourke took the mound for the Lancers today and picked up where he left off last year! He pitched a complete game (5 inning), 3 hit, 10 K, 0 BB performance! The Pioneers went up 2-0 in the top of the first on a few uncharacteristic defensive miscues. The boys buckled down and put up 7 runs in the bottom of the frame!

Jayden Hamilton was on fire today. He went 2-3, 2 runs scored, 2 rbi, and stole 2 bases. All the while giving a base-running clinic! Colin Parent continued his strong season with 2 hits and 3 rbi! There were many contributors today and it was an overall decent performance.

Next up is game 2 out of 5 vs a good Concord team at 4pm tomorrow, Holman Stadium.

The Lancers had a bit of a lull in the schedule and were eager to get back on the field. Connor Fennell took the mound and provided 1-hit baseball with 3 strikeouts and no walks on the day! Jonathan Wilson was cleared to pitch and showed why the coaches have been very high on his ability.

At the plate Brett McKinnon lead the way with a 3-3 day and 4 stolen bases. Owen Carey and Kevin Rourke collected multiple hits on the day as well. It was an all-around effort by the Lancers and one that we hope to continue to build on!
